We spent a few days on Siquijor island. There we found Irwin the taxi driver, rented a scooter from his friend and drove around the island.

Kalacurrya ja mustekalaa lounaaksi. Fish curry and squid for lunch.
-----
Grilled fish and rice and veggies for breakfast. The ladies at the food stall were greatly amused when they saw me taking photos of the food. Stupid tourist, wants to photograph the local herring.
-----
Siquijorilla syötiin paljon pullaa! Tässä pullassa on sokeria JA juustoraastetta. Molempi parempi.
Lots of sweet buns got eaten in Siquijor! This bun has sugar AND grated cheese. Why not both?

How do you tell the difference between a sweet eating banana and a cooking banana? We though we already knew and even asked the lady selling the bananas. But nope, we got it wrong again! So we were left with a bunch of cooking bananas that you can't eat raw. As we had no way to cook them, we gave them to the girl working in the hotel bar. Suddenly she suggested she could fry them for breakfast the next day. Why not? And so we got greasy, sugary, filling and delicious banana breakfast.

Iltaisin surautimme skootterilla Larenaan ja istuksimme sataman ruoka/kaljakuppiloissa syömässä grillattua kanaa ja juomassa kaljaa paikallisten ukkojen seassa.
In the evenings we drove to Larena and sat in the harbour eating barbecue chicken and drinking beer among the local grandpas.

Lisää pullaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Ja täydellisen ensaimadan metsästys.
More sweet bunnnns! And the hunt for the perfect ensaimada.
-----
The last dinner in Siquijor: chili shrimps and grilled chicken. The next day it was time to head back to Cebu island and towards Moalboal.
